Poor Americans lose again….

It totally amazes me how far the Government will go to tangle words, making it almost impossible for the average American to decipher what is really going on with this Oh-So Urgent 700 billion dollar bailout. Read carefully. The only issue that is clear is that the salaries for the CEO’s and their parachute packages are more important than saving homes, banks or the livelyhoods of the average Americans…UGH.

Treasury Announces Executive Compensation Rules
Under the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act
Washington- The U.S. Treasury Department today announced the development of three programs under the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act and corresponding executive compensation and corporate governance standards.

1.) Troubled Asset Auction Program- Treasury continues to develop a program to purchase troubled mortgage-related assets through an auction format, and will be issuing program guidance for this program in the coming weeks. under the Act, (1) the financial institution may not deduct for tax purposes executive compensation in excess of $500,000 for each senior executive, (2) the financial institution may not deduct certain golden parachute payments to its senior executives and (3) a 20-percent excise tax will be imposed on the senior executive for these golden parachute payments.

2.) Capital Purchase Program- The Treasury is issuing guidance for this program designed to provide equity capital under standardized terms directly to certain financial institutions, further strengthening their capital structures to facilitate their continued lending in the capital markets. ensuring that incentive compensation for senior executives does not encourage unnecessary and excessive risks that threaten the value of the financial institution; (2) required clawback of any bonus or incentive compensation paid to a senior executive based on statements of earnings, gains, or other criteria that are later proven to be materially inaccurate; (3) prohibition on the financial institution from making any golden parachute payment to a senior executive based on the Internal Revenue Code provision; and (4) agreement not to deduct for tax purposes executive compensation in excess of $500,000 for each senior executive. Treasury is issuing interim final rules for these executive compensation standards.

3.) Programs for Systemically Significant Failing Institutions- The Treasury Department is currently developing a third program to potentially provide direct assistance to certain failing firms on terms negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Treasury is issuing guidance for the executive compensation standards that will apply to the firms participating in such programs and their senior executives (Treasury Notice 2008-PSSFI). These standards are similar in all respects to the Capital Purchase Programs executive compensation standards described above, with one significant difference. In situations where Treasury provides assistance under the systemically significant failing institutions programs, golden parachutes will be defined more strictly to prohibit any payments to departing senior executives.

George Dub-ya really is delusional ..

I came across this hilarious news piece this morning. It is very interesting. Raising many questions such as “does he really think this?” and/or “could he possibly think that all Americans have been asleep the past 8 years?” just to name a few. George W.Bush is the worst of the worst. He caused so much pain and poverty to Americans and their familys, but for some odd reason he believes that we will be tricked into remebering him in a positive light.

News source is tothecenternews.com:

In a recent interview, conducted by his sister, Dorothy, for a historical archive project, Bush shared his hope that he will be remembered positively, namely as someone who did not lose his way in the big exciting town known as Washington. Among other things, he stated, “I’d like to be a president . . . [who was known] as somebody who liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace; that focused on individuals rather than process; that rallied people to serve their neighbor.”

Let’s see… besides the fact that Americans were lied to about the reason for war, the allowing of relentless deregulation that has resulted in America being in the worst economic position ever, besides our country being at it’s most vulnerable globally, our homeless & unemployment rates at it’s highest and the implementing a little or non-funded “No child left behind project” the list of course goes on-and-on. Hummmm, with all of this Dub-ya really believes that we scorned Americans would positively remember his legacy. Exchange legacy for farce then I would agree.

I would say that Bush did manage to rally 50 million people, unfortunately it was at the local soup kitchens and the welfare offices. And he really did make peace for Hanky Paully and the boys on Wall Street.

Look, unless you have been asleep in a cocoon for the past 8 years I would tend to believe that Americans will realize that there is not enough spin to turn the Dub-ya administrations distarious regime around in our eyes or our lives.

Tax paying Americans bailout proposal

“Tax paying Americans bailout proposal”

1.) each tax paying American should be given a stimulus check for $150,000.

This act would definitely shore up the economy. Whether it’s getting caught up on delinquent house payments, buying new cars or purchasing items from the retail industry, paying for college tuition, paying off medical bills or just starting and/or maintaining a small business. The money would get spent. And the money would be spent specific to the needs of those Americans.

2.) Provide credit card tax credit

3.) Provide car loan tax credit

Americans are tired of paying off bad debts for the rich. Especially for companies such as AIG who offers the most expensive and uncomprehensive insurance, the big 3 automakers who make horribly ugly cars that have not shown up in the top 20 list of preferred cars in over 15 years and the Wall street big dogs who just spend our money just to get more of our money from the Government when the lose it.

Are you a Middle American who is tired of giving these expensive monetary gifts to the rich, without ever having anything but debt and heart ache to show for it?, if so. support my “tax paying Americans bailout” proposal” by cutting and pasting this post and forwarding it to your state Representatives.

WE WANT OUR BAILOUT TOO:mad:
